The Education for Maine Program provides a forgivable loan to financially disadvantaged students. The program is open to undergraduate students only. The program awards up to $3,000 per student per year and the scholarship is renewable every year up to four years. The scholarship award can be used in any college or university across the country and is not restricted to the state of Maine.
Quality Child Care Education Scholarship Program
The Quality Child Care Education Scholarship Program specializes in providing funding to students who wish to pursue courses that deal with early childhood education and child care. The program is open to students whose family contribution is expected to be up to $6600. Eligible students must be residents of Maine and should be enrolled in the specified courses in colleges or universities. The program awards up to $500 per student. The award amount covers the tuition for two courses each semester and the scholarship is renewable every semester up to four semesters.

Doctors for Maine’s Future Scholarship Program
The Doctors for Maine’s Future Scholarship Program offers financial assistance covering almost 50% of tuition to students who enroll themselves in medical schools located in Maine. The program awards up to $25,000 per student per year. Eligible students must be residents of Maine for at least a year before applying for enrollment in medical schools. Students who have graduated from Maine high schools or received four year degrees from colleges or universities in Maine are given priority under this program.
Maine Tuition Waiver Program
The Maine Tuition Waiver Program provides scholarship amounts to students which covers the tuition fees. Eligible students must be a spouse or child of Maine law enforcement officers, fire fighters or emergency worker who was killed in the line of duty. The scholarship award is not handed over to the recipient instead the tuition at the concerned college or university is waived.
